CORN, Okla.–While students and families spend the lazy days of summer enjoying the weather and vacation time, Corn Bible Academy Administration and staff are busy as they plan for the 2009-2010 school year. Many hours go into preparing the school for students in August, and one of the first events of the new school year is Registration Day.
On July 21, from 2:00-8:00 p.m., all returning students and their parents are to register for school and bring financial and medical information to the office. Students need to attend with their parents in order to complete necessary forms.
There are three easy ways to pay tuition for the new school year: one payment for the entire year which offers a 3% discount on tuition; one payment each semester which also offers a 3% discount on tuition; and nine or ten monthly payments through the FACTS payment plan. Arrangements should be made on Registration Day for tuition payment.
July 25 is Work Day at CBA, and all students and parents are encouraged to attend in the morning, afternoon, or all day. There are many projects that will take place, and volunteers are needed to finish each one. Please call the school office to reserve your family’s place for lunch that day!
August 10 is a big night at CBA, kicking off the new school year with Buck-a-Burger Night in the cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. Students may also take care of athletic physicals that evening at the school for $10. Following Buck-a-Burger Night is the Annual Meeting at 7:30 in the auditorium for all parents and friends of CBA. Immediately afterwards, coaches will have a short meeting with all football and volleyball parents.
August 12 is Enrollment Day. At 1:00 p.m., grades 10-12 will enroll, and at 2:00 p.m., grades 7-9 will enroll. This is the day students will create their class schedule and receive locker and mailbox assignments for the year. The first day of school begins on Thursday, August 13 at 8:00 a.m.
It is not too late to fill out an application to attend Corn Bible Academy! If you or someone you know is interested in attending CBA, please call the school office at 580.343.2262 for an information packet.
