CORN, Okla.-Corn Bible Academy took third place in the Area Academic Tournament held at CBA on Saturday, January 17th, scoring an average of 150 points per game. Cheyenne won first place and Indiahoma won second, both advancing to the State Tournament at Redlands Community College on February 7th. Other teams competing in the Area Tournament were Chattanooga, Big Pasture, Geronimo, Union City, and Binger-Oney.
CBA’s most valuable player was Blake Engelman, who averaged 58 points per game in the toss-up rounds. Other team members who answered during the toss-up rounds and contributed during the sixty-second rounds were Brian Koehn, Corey Harms, and Shawna McCoy. Joyce Creed, CBA coach, would like to thank all the students who participated and the judges, scorekeepers, tournament manager, and parents who helped make this a good day.
