Crusader Academic Team Wins Regional

Corn, OKLA — The Corn Bible Academy academic team participated in the regional academic meet that was held at Geronimo on Saturday, November 12th.  The Crusaders entered the tournament as the number one seed and won three games straight to earn the regional championship trophy. In the first game the Crusaders’ opponents were the Tipton Tigers. The score at halftime was close with CBA ahead by a score of 100-60.  The Crusaders extended the lead to win by a score of 210-130. The next opponent for the Crusaders was the team from Mt. View-Gotebo.  The Crusaders held a slim lead at halftime of 10 points, 100-90, but charged ahead in the second half to win by a score of 210-110.  The championship match placed the Crusaders against the Panthers of Granite. The Crusaders jumped out to an early lead of 110-40 and won the championship by a score of 200-70. The win advances the Crusaders to the area meet to be held on Saturday, January 14th.  The CBA academic team members at the regional competition were Chant Collins, Drew Geisler, Kim Javorsky, Daniel Rempel, Carter Smith, and McKenna Thompson.
