CORN, Okla. — The Corn Bible Academy junior high Crusader football team traveled to Merritt on September 28 and was defeated by the Oilers 56-22. Merritt used its good speed to score several long touchdown runs.
Andrew Troyer scored two touchdowns for the Crusaders while Trevor Harms returned a fumble 70 yards for another touchdown. Harms, on a run, and Jay Penner, on a pass from Scott Dick, scored two point conversions.
The junior high Crusaders will try to get back in the win column next week on Tuesday, October 6, when the Eagles from Life Christian visit Crusader Park. Game time is 6:00 p.m.
