Crusaders Lose Tough Games to Cyril

Corn, OKLA. — In make-up games on Thursday, February 4, at Corn Bible Academy, the Crusader basketball teams played two competitive games with the Cyril Pirates. The Lady Crusaders were tied with Class B’s number one team 43-43 with five minutes remaining, before falling 54-43. Jessica Penner had 21 points while Ellie Troyer chipped in eight points.

The boys’ game was back and forth in the second half before Cyril hit a three point basket with five seconds left to lead 53-51. Spencer Huiatt’s last second shot hit off the front of the rim and bounced away to end the game. Huiatt led CBA with 19 points while Pate Gossen had 14 points and Taylor Ensz scored 12 points.
