Corn, OKLA.–The Student Council at Corn Bible Academy is set to take the student body to the “Wild, Wild West” the week of September 21-25 as football homecoming activities commence. The week will be busy with many different happenings for the students and fans.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in “dress up days” during Spirit Week. Monday is Cowboy/Outlaw Day, Tuesday is Wild Hair Day, Wednesday is Movie Character Day, Thursday is Pajama Day, and Friday is Blue and White Day.

The Student Council will lead special homecoming programs each day during regular chapel time. The high school guys will participate in Rowdy Ruff volleyball games on Monday and Tuesday, the homecoming candidates will participate in programs that highlight their rodeo abilities on Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday will include the all school pep rally.

On Monday evening following the junior high football game against Mountain View at Crusader Park, the high school girls will play in the annual Powder Puff football game.

Throughout the week, each class at CBA will work on large posters that will be on display at the homecoming football game on Friday evening. The “spirit” posters will be designed with the homecoming theme in mind.

The Crusaders take on Tipton that evening with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Halftime activities will include a Rope, Ride, and Shoot contest for a few privileged fans. Immediately following the game, the Student Council will host the coronation of the 2009 Football Homecoming King and Queen. Candidates are Emily Bartel, Weatherford; Hope Brown, Hobart; Echo Shantz, Hydro; Lodisius Aroy, Indonesia; Taylor Ensz, Corn; and Steven Mawu, Indonesia. Junior attendants are Jaysa Slagell and Dellen Claassen.

Everyone is invited to attend any and all of the activities throughout the week!
