The following article is written by Jennifer Bose, a tenth grade student at Corn Bible Academy.
Corn, OKLA.—Whether you like it or not, school is an annual occurrence in our country. Every year around August or September, schools all over the nation begin the new school year. No more sleeping late or sitting in front of the television all day watching your favorite shows. Summer vacation is officially coming to an end. It is beginning to fade into the distance. Anxiety about the upcoming school year is driving you insane!
Before school starts, you must go to a local store to buy school supplies. Pencils, notebooks, pens, and paper might be a few of the items on the “back to school list.” Some students may even go on a back to school shopping spree.
You may have been just plain bored all summer long, spending those lazy days just lying around. Or maybe you have been working for the past three months and are just ready for a break. Whatever your case may be, school will eventually start, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Getting up early, listening to teacher lectures, and doing homework are just a few of the happenings that begin to take place. Going from one class period to another, hearing the bell ring, and walking down a hall jam-packed with students may be exactly what you do not want to do. Your day might be filled with a busy schedule and trying to get everything accomplished may seem like a useless task. But even with all of the hustle and bustle that occurs during the new school year, you must remember to take time for yourself, away from all of the chaos.
